A research based project that delves into defining Cultural Identity through our visual vocabulary and examines the collective memory, what does Kuwaiti cultural identity mean?

Through this exhibition we raise a number of questions about our perception of identity, is it a part of us or is it only related to our nostalgia for the past, which we adorn from time to time?

This project was put together using research, which was carried out jointly with Eman AlShawaf, it included face to face interviews from which the top ten items noted were chosen to be featured. The answers included colors, patterns, places and other details obtained from the memories of those who shared their stories and experiences through which they identify with Kuwait.
